Leung Jan, known as the "King of Wing Chun," was a Foshan physician whose undefeated record in challenge matches made him a legend of southern Chinese martial arts. His mastery of Wing Chun under Leung Yee-tai and Wong Wah-bo produced two distinct lineage branches through his students Chan Wah-shun and his own son Leung Bik — both of which ultimately converged in Ip Man.
